Jul 02, 2009 (newstodate): The bad news from Denmark's Billund Airport is that cargo volumes dropped 20.3 percent, y-o-y, in July, to a total of 3,563 tonnes.
The less-bad news is that this indicates a relative improvement as the accumulated decline during January-June 2009 was 25.4 percent, y-o-y, to a total of 20,788 tonnes.
The relative improvement was primarily prompted by export shipments that were down 27 percent, y-o-y, to 11,273 tonnes during the first six months, but "only" 19.7 percent, to 2,102 tonnes.
During January-June 2009, import volumes dropped 23.5 percent, y-o-y, to 9,515 tonnes, and fell by 21 percent in June, 2009, to 1,461 tonnes.
