Jun 12, 2009 (newstodate): Hungarian carrier Malev will launch flights on a new route to Ukraine.
Effective from June 15, 2009, Malev will operate two weekly rotations between Budapest and Uzhhorod International Airport, in in western Ukraine, at the border with Slovakia and near the border with Hungary, using an Embraer 200 on the route.
Uzhhorod International Airport is one of Ukraine's largest airport with a 2,038m runway, but today only served by Dneproavia with flights to Kiev.
