Jun 26, 2009 (newstodate): Only the smallest of Moscow's three main international airports escaped decline in cargo and mail volumes through the first four months of this year, according to figures from Russia's Transport Clearing House.
Moscow Domodedovo Airport dipped the most during January-April, down 26 percent, y-o-y, in total volumes, to 33,835 tonnes, of which 14,800 tonnes were international cargo.
Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport was also down by 21 percent to 43,496 tonnes, of which 33,267 tonnes were international cargo, while Moscow Vnukovo Airport saw volumes increasing by three percent, y-o-y, to 8,129 tonnes, of which 953 tonnes were international cargo.
