Jun 26, 2009 (newstodate): Finnair has taken delivery of its fourth Airbus A330-300 aircraft, now allocated to regular scheduled flights on the carrier's long-haul network.
With the addition of the fourth aircraft, Osaka will be served with the A330-300 as of July 6, 2009.
During the current year, Finnair will receive a total of five new
Airbus A330-300 aircraft, with the next A330 to arrive in November.
The continued build-up of the new Airbus long-haul fleet, also including five A340-300 aircraft, means that the carrier's last remaining MD-11 aircraft will perform its last flight on the route between Helsinki and Delhi on March 1, 2010, when the 8th A330-300 has been delivered.
According to the plan, Finnair will also receive its first of 11 Airbus A350-900 aircraft by 2014.
