Jun 16, 2009 (newstodate): Finnair Cargo is preparing to launch a new road feeder service along the Baltic coast.
The services will reportedly connect Helsinki and the Russian enclave by the Baltic Sea, Kaliningrad, passing through Tallinn, Estonia, Riga, Latvia, and Vilnius, Lithuania.
The loads will be consolidated cargo, with shipments accepted or delivered at all points.
The issue is currently being negotiated with Lithuanian customs that represent the exit/entry point between Russia and EU.
The planned RFS will further enhance Finnair Cargo's position in the markets concerned.
