Jun 29, 2009 (newstodate): Lufthansa Technik AG has expanded its component support services to comprise the entire Aeroflot Group, now serving aircraft of all branches of the Russian aviation company.
After several years of successful partnerships with Aeroflot and Aeroflot-Don, the Arkhangelsk based Aeroflot Nord recently became the newest member of Lufthansa Technik's customer base on the Russian market.
According to the new five-year-contract, Lufthansa Technik will provide 15 Boeing 737 Classic aircraft of its new customer with a Total Component Support.
In addition to the new contract, two existing contracts with the Aeroflot Group have been extended with additional aircraft to be served.
Nine additional Airbus A320 family jets were added to the contract with Aeroflot. These additional aircraft have recently joined the fleet and take the overall number of aircraft under the contract to 45.
Aeroflot Don has signed with Lufthansa Technik to integrate three additional Boeing 737 Classic aircraft to the already running contract, and the five-year-contract now contains a total of ten aircraft.
The component services for all branches of the Aeroflot Group will be carried out by Lufthansa Technik Vostok Services, a 100 percent subsidiary opened at Moscow Domodedovo airport in 2007.
