Jun 03, 2009 (newstodate): Yesterday's newstodate-report on official LFV figures indicating a significant decline in airfreight through Stockholm Arlanda Airport is supported by evidence from another key source.
According to LFV, cargo was down 37.5 percent through the first four months of 2009, to 21,777 tonnes.
-Our statistics covering the same period and includinbg both flown and trucked shipments show a drop by 35 percent, y-o-y, in total volumes handled by Cargo Center Sweden, says Lars Keding, Cargo Center Sweden AB managing director.
The LFV statistics include both international, domestic and integrator volumes, but is remains unclear if both flown and trucked cargo is fully covered by the figures.
It still remains for Stockholm Arlanda to published its own fully-detailed statistics for the period.
