Jun 19, 2009 (newstodate): Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air, the largest in Central and Eastern European, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Airbus to buy 50 more A320 aircraft.
This will take their total orders up to 132 aircraft.
The new A320 order will allow Wizz Air to reinforce and expand its extensive network established at 11 operating bases, in Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine and Czech Republic.
It will also allow the airline to add new destinations to its 130 existing routes.
The carrier already operates a fleet of 24 A320 aircraft.
