May 12, 2009 (newstodate): Airbridge International Agencies has awarded a contract to Worldwide Flight Services, WFS, to provide cargo reception points and handling in the UK, France and the Netherlands for its customer S7 Airlines.
Airbridge has a sales agreement with S7 Cargo LLC, the cargo division of S7 Airlines in each of the countries as well as in Ireland and Israel.
S7 Airlines currently flies from Dublin, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt and Munich into Moscow Domodedovo Airport using Airbus A319/A320 and Boeing 767-300 aircraft.
From Moscow, cargo can be distributed by S7 throughout Russia to Adler Sochi, Anapa, Baku, Chelyabinsk, Ekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Kazan, Khabarovsk, Khudzhand, Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk, Nizhniy Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Osh, Omsk, Pavlodar, Perm, Rostov-on-Don, Saint Petersburg, Samara, Ufa, Ust Kamenogorsk, Vladikavkaz, Volgograd and Yerevan.
In the first two months of 2009, S7 Airlines handled 442 tonnes of international cargo and 3,689 tonnes of domestic cargo, making it Russia's 12th largest international cargo carrier and No 2 in domestic cargo volumes.
