MAY 01, 2009 (newstodate): A new air link is in the making connecting Ukraine and Turkmenistan.
From June 1, 2009, the Ukrainean low-cost carrier Windrose Aviation plans to launch flights between Kiev Boryspil Airport and Turkmenistan's Ashgabad Turkmenbashy Airport, offering two weekly rotations with Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
The new route follows shortly after the carrier's opening on April 23, 2009, of flights on the route between Kiev and Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
