Visiting the Sukhoi SuperJet 100 production plant, Russia's prime minster pledged to provide another 6.8 mio Rubles in state support for the the project that is, as anyone else, hit by cost increases in production and equipment.
Sukhoi is upbeat about the future with the Superjet 100, targeting 15 percent of the world's regional passenger aircraft market by 2024, emerging as a fierce competitor to Bombardier and Embraer, also helped by its price which is some 15 percent below its western competitors.
