May 08, 2009 (newstodate): The Gulf emirates will become online with Afghanistan through a new airline service to be launched on May 14, 2009.
The Afghan carrier Safi Airways will operate twice-weekly flights between Abu Dhabi and Kabul, Afghanistan as the first provider on the route, using Boeing 737 aircraft.
Next to come, from June 15, 2009, are flights between Kabul and Frankfurt.
The carrier operates a fleet comprising two Boeing 737-300 and one Boeing 767-200ER aircraft.
