May 25, 2009 (newstodate): The Mongolian carrier Eznis Arways has secured continued support from the US Trade Development Agency.
The grant will allow the carrier to work with the US conting company IOS partner that is already supporting the airline in its development.
Together with the consultant, Eznis Airways has worked out and implemented an expansion plan to increase its domestic and regional route network in response to increasing demand for air travel within and to Mongolia.
The carrier currently operates three SAAB 340 aircraft and is planning to take in more aircraft in 2009.
The carrier will also now build up its aircrtaft maintenance capacity and seek entry into IATA which will require it to seek IOSA certification.
