May 28, 2009 (newstodate): Malev's board of directors has approved this year's budget for the airline and revised the business plan of 2009.
The decisions are meant to secure the stable operation of the carrier in the current difficult economic situation.
The board also requested the management to prepare a three-year business plan to enable Malev's positive financial performance.
In April the Russian Vnesheconombank provided a 20 mio euro loan facility to the company, which made it possible, for instance, to continue the regional fleet transformation program.
As part of the program Malev will operate a total of four ex-SAS Q400 aircraft, two of which have already been delivered, on regional routes.
