May 18, 2009 (newstodate): With five Airbus A380 aircraft in the fleet, Emirates has added a new daily mega-jumbo destination to its route map.
New daily A380 destination from Dubai from May 2 is Auckland, New Zealand, through an extension of the flight to Sydney.
Emirates' A380 services thus include daily flights from Dubai to London, Bangkok and Auckland, and three weekly rotations to Toronto, while the A380 service to New York was suspended last year.
With orders for a total of 58 Airbus A380, Emirates is by far the single largest customer to this aircraft.
