May 04, 2009 (newstodate): Czech carrier CSA is working hard to ward-off the effects on business by the current economic crisis.
The carrier has implemented its "Quick-Win Projects" to see improvements in revenues and cost saving efforts, and besides more inflight-sales and new initiatives including increased sale of insurance combined with bookings, ACMI has also proved a success.
CSA has thus managed to place two Boeing 737 aircraft including crews, maintenance and insurance with Libyan carrier Nayzak Air Transport on a one-year contract.
Other measures include allocation of capacity away from less-rewarding routes to more profitable operations with higher frequencies on routes with stronger earning potentials.
