May 12, 2009 (newstodate): Czech airline CSA has taken delivery of another Airbus A319 aircraft as part of its on-going fleet renewal plan.
One more A319 will be delivery in 2009, and both aircraft are received on nine-year operating lease agreements with the Irish corporation BOC Ltd.
CSA now operates an Airbus fleet comprising eight Airbus A320, six Airbus A319, and two Airbus A321 in charter configuration.
In 2004, Airbus won the tender to provide CSA with 12 Airbus A320 Family aircraft, and the carrier later exercised options for another eight Airbus A320 family aircraft to be delivered in 20112012.
The Airbus aircraft will gradually replace the fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft operated by the airline.
