May 26, 2009 (newstodate): Despite the financial plights of the world's aviation business, the privatisation process of the Czech carrier CSA is continuing as planned.
Two bidders have been shortlisted, Air France/KLM and Czech and the Icelandic consortium Unimex and Travel Service, and they are currently digging deeply into the books of CSA.
The winner of the tender is expected to be announced by September, 2009.
The financial crisis has however raised doubts over the eventual pricing of the value of CSA, and both bidders may also have been forced to re-assess their buying power after decreasing revenues in 2009.
