May 04, 2009 (newstodate): The Belarus carrier Belavia has now taken possession of a Bombardier CRJ-200 aircraft.
The aircraft is delivered on an operational lease from US carrier SkyWest, and joins the Belavia fleet consisting of five Boeing 737, one CRJ-100 and two CRJ-200 aircraft.
Belavia, based at Minsk Airport, provides some 70 percent of the country's market and operates flights to 30 destinations in 19 countries.
