May 28, 2009 (newstodate): Despite all talk of low cargo volumes in the Finnish export airfreight market, Aeroflot-Cargo is still upbeat about its performance in 2009.
-We are in principle operating two weekly MD-11F flights from Helsinki as one of the very few airlines to offer all-freighter services in this market, says Alexander Isaiev, Aeroflot-Cargo manager Finland.
-The routing is Helsinki-Moscow Sheremetyevo-Almaty-Hong Kong without any change of aircraft along the route. This makes it a very reliable and efficient service.
-We guarantee at least one weekly operation - the Saturday flight, and whenever we have enough bookings the second mid-week operation is secured as well, as has been the case the last few weeks. Also our next mid-week flight is secured as bookings are coming in. But of course our service is driven by the scope of export volumes by the Finnish industries and may be adjusted according to fluctuations in the market demand, says Mr Isaiev.
