Apr 23, 2009 (newstodate): St Petersburg's government will soon launch a tender for private, including foreign investors to acquire a share in the airport and land a contract for its management.
Originally state-owned, St Petersburg's Pulkovo Airport has now been transferred to city ownership as a first step towards privatisation.
After an open round, successful bidders will be shortlisted by the end of May to take part in the final round of the tender process.
Four foreign and two Russian investing groups are currently said to be in the race for the 35 years management contract.
