Apr 07, 2009 (newstodate): Russia's new airline conglomerate Rosavia, formed in the aftermath of the defunct AiRUnion, is in talks with aircraft manufacturers over future aircraft acquisitions.
The carrier estimates to need deliveries of around 115 new aircraft, with orders for 60 regional aircraft to go to Russian manufacturers, including the SuperJet 100.
Top executives from Boeing and Airbus are currently meeting with Rosavia that confirms that no commitments have yet been made, sources say.
The planned aircraft acquisitions are valued to be around five bio USD.
