Apr 21, 2009 (newstodate): Starting from June 15, 2009, Thai Airways International finally introduces its long-awaited services from Bangkok to Oslo, Norway.
The route has been on the agenda for several years but was repeatedly postponed despite high passenger volumes between Norway and Thailand.
Thai will now introduce five weekly flights using Airbus A330-500 aircraft on the route, with the schedule adjusted to match both Norwegian domestic lines and Thai's onward regional flights to and from Asia and Australia/New Zealand.
The service between Oslo and Bangkok is introduced 30 years after opening of Thai's sales office in Oslo in 1979, so far with services via the carrier's daily services at Copenhagen, Denmark, and Stockholm, Sweden.
