Apr 08, 2009 (newstodate): Despite a strong fall in market demand for air travel, Georgian carrier Georgian Airways plans to add a new aircraft to its fleet by the end of this month.
The aircraft, a Boeing 737-700, will be delivedred on a leasing arrangement.
The carrier currently operates a fleet of four Boeing 737 Classic aircraft, and three CRJ100 aircraft.
In 2008 Georgian Airways transported a total of 110,000 passengers, down by some 50 percent compared to the year before, also due to the military conflict with Russia in 2008.
