Apr 01, 2009 (newstodate): Japanese media have carried news that SAS may be considering opening a new route from Stockholm, Sweden, to Tokyo Narita Airport from the winter 2010 schedule.
The media claims that SAS will be offering three weekly flights on the route alongside the current seven weekly flights by SAS between Denmark's Copenhagen Airport and Tokyo.
Scandinavia and Japan negotiated a new air services agreement in 2008, opening up for a total of 17 weekly flights between the two parties, including 10 to Tokyo Narita.
SAS has, however, not commented on the news from Japan.
