Apr 03, 2009 (newstodate): Lithuanian carrier Avion Express has named Aleksei Lupitski as new managing director after Per Weithz who remains with airline with special reponsibility for developing new business potentials.
Avion Express, set up in 2005 by Per Weithz and based at Vilnius Airport, is owned 90 percent by the Icelandic Avion Group and operates a total of seven SAAB 340 aircraft.
The carrier's latest new assignment was landed in March, 2009, when Avion Express in co-operation with Loganair signed an ACMI contract for operating mail flights in Scotland, UK.
