Apr 24, 2009 (newstodate): Latvian carrier airBaltic will reportedly stop its flight since 2008 to Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The route was opened on April 17, 2008, with two weekly flights.
Instead, airBaltic and Russian carrier Rossiya have signed a code-share agreement comprising flights from Riga to Kaliningrad and St Petersburg as well as between Kaliningrad and Copenhagen, and airBaltic passengers can now fly to Almaty with Rossiya from St Petersburg.
