Apr 01, 2009 (newstodate): The Austrian investment company Airports International, registered at Jersey, is not to go deeper into airport acquisitions.
Against the backdrop of current economic conditions, AI considers that now is not the right time to be buying additional assets with the remainder of the certificate holders' funds, and excess capital will thus be returned to certificate holders rather than invested in new airport ventures.
AI, formerly Mainl Airports International, is currently engaged in the airports in Ulan Ude, Bydgoszcz and Parma as well as the development project in Sochaczew, and these projects will be completed as planned and later put up for sale to allow AI to retrieve investments and profits from their development.
