Apr 14, 2009 (newstodate): Booming in air cargo growth during most of 2008, Estonia's Tallinn Airport is also seeing volumes dipping in 2009.
During the first three months of 2009 the airport handled a total of 5,716 tonnes of cargo, a decline by 35.8 percent, y-o-y.
Besides the general downturn in the industry, the airport is also hit by the drop in Russian imports from China through Tallinn Airport.
Cargo decline during Q1 was 20.8, 41.7 and 40.4 percent, year-on-year, during January, February and March, respectively.
