Mar 17, 2009 (newstodate): Like most other carriers, Serbia's national carrier JAT is facing a strong decline in total cargo volumes in 2009.
In February the airline's cargo volumes dropped by 41 percent, y-o-y, to 129 tonnes, while air mail volumes fared better, noting an increase by 14 percent, y-o-y, to 53 tonnes.
After the first two months of 2009, the carrier has seen its total cargo volumes down by 32 percent, y-o-y, to 271 tonnes, while mail volumes have increased by seven percent, y-o-y, to 103 tonnes.
