Mar 05, 2009 (newstodate): Russia's Ekaterinburg Koltsovo Airport has succeeded in obtaining the financial means to finish on-going airport projects.
Russia's state-owned Vnesheconombank has stepped in with a loan enabling Koltsovo Airport to complete construction of Phase 3 of its new international passenger terminal and other infrastructure.
Other construction works, including a new airport multi-modal transport center, will however be suspended due to an expected decrease in passenger volumes and revenues in 2009.
The airport expects passenger volumes to drop by some 10 percent in 2009, as will also revenues and profits.
