MAr 31, 2009 (newstodate): Delivery of new aircraft will allow Estonian Air to launch two new European routes from June, 2009.
Effective from June 7, 2009, the carrier will start three weekly flights from Tallinn, Estonia, to Amsterdam, to be followed by the launch on June 8 of two weekly flights to Berlin.
The carrier expects to take delivery of the first of three Bombardier CRJ900 NG aircraft by the end of May, and also holds options for acquisition of a further three aircraft.
Estonian Air is owned by the SAS Group, 49 percent, the Estonian state, 34 percent, and Cresco, 17 percent, but is in the market for new ownership after SAS has announced its decision to sell its stake, having been denied rights to acquire a majority share in the carrier.
