Mar 25, 2009 (newstodate): In January, 2009, two out of three Moscowite airports saw cargo volumes falling significantly.
Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport retained its leading position in cargo volumes with 8,112 tonnes of cargo against 10,948 tonnes in Januaary 2008 - a decline by 26 percent, y-o-y.
Second was Moscow Domodedovo Airport with 7,040 tonnes in January 2009 against 8,628 tonnes in January 2008 - a fall by 18 percent.
Against this, Moscow Vnukovo Airport totalled 1,693 tonnes in January 2009 against 1,548 tonnes in January 2008 - an increase by nine percent, y-o-y.
