Last Baltic route to go will be the route between Amsterdam and Riga, Latvia, that will be operated for the last time on June 28. 2009.
KLM has earlier anounced the closure of its route to Tallinn, Estonia, and services to Vilnius, Lithuania, ceased as its Lithuanian code-share partner flyLAL folded its wings shortly after christmas.
KLM's services to the Baltic region started with a code-share agreement with Lithuanian Airlines from 2003, followed by the opening of flights to Riga from May 31, 2004, and to Tallinn from May 28, 2005.
