Mar 09, 2009 (newstodate): China's Shenzhen Airlines is mulling plans for opening its first routes to Russian destinations.
The carrier has applied for traffic rights for routes from Harbin, Manchuria, to Blagoveschensk, Yakutsk and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
If granted, the carrier will also be the first airline to connect these destinations with the industrial center in Manchuria.
Shenzhen Airlines, so far focussing on domestic routes and flights to Asian destinations, operates a fleet of 75 aircraft including Airbus A320 Family and Boeing 737 aircraft.
