Mar 16, 2009 (newstodate): On March 14, 2009, Armenian carrier Armavia launched its new flight connecting Armenia, Georgia and Russia.
First in providing a direct airlink between Georgia and Russia after the military clash in 2008, Armavia will operate two daily flights from Yerevan via Tbilisi to Moscow with Airbus A320 aircraft.
Serving 30 destinations in Europe, Asia and the CIS region, the carrier now operates a fleet comprising two Airbus A320, two A319, one Tu-134 and one Il-86, and will receive i9ts third Airbus A319 on March 17, 2009.
