Feb 10, 2009 (newstodate): The Swedish cargo operator Nord-Flyg received its first converted Q400-PF Package Freighter on January 16, 2009, and the aircraft is now ready for assignments.
-We must, however, acknowledge, that the Swedish and indeed the international air cargo market is depressed, and we have not so far been able to land the first contract with an operator, although we have a number of potential contacts, says Ulf Darenius, Nord-Flyg CEO.
Mr Darenius also confirms that the the delivery of its second ex-SAS Q400 aircraft has been postponed till medio April, while plans for acquisition of additional ex-SAS Q400 aircraft have so far been shelved, pending the arrival of better times.
