Increasing 16.8 percent, y-o-y, in passenger volume, UTAir also emerged as a strong player in Russia's otherwise troubled civil aviation.
In 2009 the carrier has opened new routes from Moscow Vnukovo Airport to Rostov-on-Don, Barnaul and Omsk, and the latest addition is a route to Perm, launched this month with TU-154 aircraft.
