Feb 4, 2009 (newstodate): Preliminary figures from Sweden's Stockholm Arlanda Airport indicate that the airport managed to sustain growth in cargo volumes in 2008.
-We expect to land at around five percent y-o-y growth in volumes in 2008, says Bjorn Ragnebrink, LFV director air cargo development.
-During the first half-year, growth stood as high as 15 percent, compared to H1 in 2007, but after August growth slowed down, during September and October standing at two or three percent, y-o-y. But November and December dropped below 2007-levels, he says.
Based on figures for 2007, Stockholm Arlanda would probably end up around 175,000 tonnes in 2008.
