Feb 24, 2009 (newstodate): The international marketing and sales efforts for the new Russian regional jet, SuperJet 100, has been boosted by the opening of a new office in the USA.
The new SuperJet International office is located in Washington D.C., managed by John Buckley, vice president, business development.
SuperJet International is responsible for sales, marketing and delivery of Sukhoi SuperJet 100 aircraft to customers in Europea, America and Africa markets as well as to Japan and Oceania, and is already located with offices in Moscow and Toulouse, France.
Sukhoi is upbeat about the future with the Superjet 100, targeting 15 percent of the world's regional passenger aircraft market by 2024, emerging as a fierce competitor to Bombardier and Embraer, also helped by its price which is some 15 percent below its western competitors.
