Feb 19, 2009 (newstodate): Air Volga, formerly Volga-AviaExpress, will soon take delivery of two CRJ-200 aircraft at its base at Volgograd, Russia.
The arrival of the new aircraft will allow the carrier to launch international services to Prague and to destinations in France and Germany in 2009.
The carrier already operates scheduled services from Volgograd to destinations in Russia, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan with a fleet of three TU-134 and five YAK-42 aircraft.
Air Volga has also negotiated a lease arrangement for two Boeing 737-500 aircraft to replace the Russian-built aircraft.
