Feb 27, 2009 (newstodate): Despite a generally difficult year for Russia's aviation industry, Vladivostok Air performed nicely in 2008.
The airline carried a total of 892,798 passengers, an increase by 15.1 percent, y-o-y, and handled 8,236 tonnes of cargo, up 21.8 percent.
In 2008 the carrier took delivery of three Airbus A320 and two Tu-204-300 aircraft, bringing the totals to four and six, respectively.
In 2009 one more A-320 will be delivered, in addition to one Airbus A330-300 aircraft to be used primarily on the long-haul flights between Vladivostok and Moscow.
