The country plans to increase the number of airport from today's 85 to a total of 400 airports over the next 10 years.
Massive fundings will be allocated to the projects, and already now plans are being realised for modernisation projects at 35 regional airports in the country, including new terminals at Mumbai, Indore, Bhopal, Raipur, Ranchi, Vishakhapatnam, Tiruchirapalli and Goa.
