Feb 17, 2009 (newstodate): Effective from March 31, 2009, the Ukrainean carrier Windrose plans to open a new international flight.
The carrier will operate flights from Kiev, Ukraine, to Astana, Kazakhstan, initially offering one weekly service, increasing to two weekly rotations from May 21, 2009.
The new route will be the carrier's third international operation alongside flights from Kiev to Moscow and from Kharkov to Istanbul.
The carrier has also announced high ambitions for 2009, with plans to five-double its passenger volumes on regular flights to 100,000 passengers.
