Feb 17, 2009 (newstodater): Effective from April 24, 2009, Germany's Air Berlin plans to launch its first service to Norway.
The carrier will operate five times weekly from Berlin Tegel Airport to Oslo, using Boeing 737 aircraft.
Germany's second-largest airline, Air Berlin will also become the first German airline to provide direct flights between the two capitals.
The next day, April 25, 2009, will also see the opening a new route by Air Berlin between Berlin and Krakow, Poland, to be serviced four times weekly.
