Feb 11, 2009 (newstodate): China Eastern Airlines has ceased its twice-weekly Airbus A330-200 operations at Copenhagen Airport from Mid-January, 2009.
The carrier launched Copenhagen as a new destination as a stop on its route between Shanghai and Frankfurt in October, 2008, but market demand has since dropped considerably, leading to the pull-out.
The carrier's cargo subsidiary, China Cargo Airlines is still operating thrice-weekly operations since January 2007 at Copenhagen as a stop on its MD-11F freighter route between Shanghai and Paris, using ScanPartners as its cargo GSA in the Danish market.
