Feb 19, 2009 (newstodate): In 2008, the 16 Swedish airports, including Stockholm Arlanda, Gothenburg Landvetter and Malmo Sturup Airport, managed by LFV noted a decrease by only 0.6 percent in their total combined cargo volumes at 388,544 tonnes.
The picture is, however, different when looking at the last quarter or 2008 that saw a decline by 13.6 percent in combined volumes, to 42,196 tonnes against 48,824 tonnes in Q4/2007.
Continuing the fall into 2009, the Swedish airfreight market is expected to decline significantly in volumes.
