Feb 3, 2009 (newstodate): Oslo Gardermoen Airport noted a six percent y-o-y decrease in cargo volumes in 2008.
In total the airport handled 91,497 tonnes of cargo, including 57,313 tonnes of international cargo, down 8.9 percent, and 34,174 tonnes of domestic cargo, down 0.7 percent.
October, November and December proved most critical as volumes dropped by 13.1, 15.1 and 15.1 percent, respectively, reflecting the suspension from September of Korean Air Cargo's two weekly flights from USA via Oslo to Incheon, Korea, as well as the generally declining world trade activity.
