Dec 09, 2009 (newstodate): Skyworld Aviation has placed two Saab 340A aircraft with Romania's Direct Aero Services.
The first aircraft was delivered in Orebro, Sweden, in September 2009, and the second was handed over in early November.
Direct Aero Services currently operates a fleet of smaller aircraft and helicopters but has developed a regional airline arm to service some freight contracts recently awarded.
The carrier, in the market since May 1, 2008, and based at Baneasa International Airport, will also support the passenger operations of its sister airline Blue Air, initially offering scheduled services from Suceava to Venice and Vienna..
