Dec 04, 2009 (newstodate): The projected new carrier, FEEL Air says plans are progressing to introduce low-cost flights from Stockholm Arlanda and Oslo Gardermoen to Bangkok and New York from 2010.
-We will build on an initial aircraft fleet comprising two units from the start, but the fleet will be expanded by a further two aircraft soon after, says Kai Holmberg, FEEL Air CEO.
-The airline will be legally established under Norwegian registration, but the commercial base will comprise all three Scandinavian markets.
-We draw on experience from Ryanair as to managing of cost and quality, lean on the business model of AirAsiaX, and on Virgin's staff and branding philosophy.
-We will definitely offer rates 50 percent lower than competitors on the routes, we plan to operate, says Mr Holmberg.
So far the project still needs to raise the USD42 mio needed to launch the airline.
